In the past, dentists have relied on white crowns to improve the appearance of front teeth. Crowns can look bulky and fake in a smile, though. Our cosmetic dentists often place porcelain veneers to close gaps between front teeth, correct chips or cracks, and make crooked teeth appear straight. Porcelain veneers are also stain resistant, so they stay bright and beautiful indefinitely.
At your consultation, the dentist can answer all of your questions about veneers and show you photos of our patients who love their new smiles. If you decide to move forward, expect two visits after the consultation for complete veneer placement. The first appointment will consist of preparing your teeth, taking an impression for our lab, and applying temporary veneers. A ceramist will hand make your porcelain veneers according to your dentist’s design. At your second visit, the dentist will remove your temporaries and affix the permanent veneers in place. Most patients immediately discover a new self-confidence in their image, and some pursue goals they never thought possible.
